Four-Passenger Golf Carts: 2+2 or 4 Forward?

Compare four-passenger golf carts by seating direction, passenger access and storage space. Coala 2+2 and 4 Forward offer different layouts for the same passenger count.

Same passenger count, different seating

The Coala 2+2 has two forward-facing and two rear-facing seats. 4 Forward has four forward-facing seats. Both provide four designated passenger positions. Begin with how your group prefers to sit, then compare access, foot space and the dimensions of the actual vehicles.

All Coala models are LSV certified, including for California. Registration, insurance and permitted-road requirements still apply to the location where you intend to drive.

Try both rows before choosing

Bring the people who usually ride and try each seating position while the cart is parked. Check entry and exit, where feet rest and whether the layout suits the passengers. Ask the dealer to explain the restraints and operating instructions. Do not assume an extra bench or accessory creates an approved passenger position.

Measure your parking area, access gate and storage space. Compare those measurements with the published dimensions and allow room to enter and leave the vehicle comfortably.

Compare more than the seats

Request the exact battery, charger, equipment and delivered price for each option. Ask who provides service and how warranty support works. If your usual group may grow to six, compare the six-passenger configurations before making a commitment rather than planning to overload a four-seat cart.
