Golf Cart Warranty: What to Read Before You Buy
Review component coverage, exclusions, service arrangements and claim steps before comparing warranty offers.

Read your golf cart warranty before comparing offers. Understand component coverage, exclusions, repair arrangements and the records needed when requesting support.
Separate the headline from the written terms
Coala’s published coverage includes a two-year vehicle warranty, two-year controller/computer warranty and eight-year battery warranty, subject to the applicable terms. Request the written warranty for your purchase before committing. A headline duration does not explain every covered component, exclusion or responsibility.
Check when coverage begins, whether any conditions apply to your intended use and which organization provides each part of the coverage. Do not assume the vehicle and battery have identical claim procedures simply because they were purchased together.
Ask how a repair is handled
Identify the contact for diagnosis and whether approval is needed before work starts. Ask specifically about labor, transport and any other costs that may fall outside the stated coverage. Keep the answers with the written terms rather than relying only on a verbal description.
If a dealer offers a separate service contract, compare its benefits and exclusions with the included warranty. Determine whether it adds useful coverage and what it costs.
Keep the documents a claim needs
Retain the sales receipt, vehicle and battery identification, warranty documents and maintenance records. Describe a fault with dates and symptoms and provide requested photos through the support process. Avoid commissioning repairs that could complicate a claim before you understand the procedure.
Is the warranty a guaranteed battery lifespan?
No. Read the coverage terms and our battery-life guide. For an existing issue, contact your selling dealer or Coala support.
