Electric Golf Cart Maintenance: Build a Routine You Can Follow
Use the supplied manual, simple observations and a service record to organize routine care.

Organize electric golf cart maintenance around the supplied manuals, routine checks and service records. Know which tasks to discuss with your dealer before attempting work.
Start with the correct manual
At delivery, identify the maintenance instructions for the vehicle, battery and charger you actually received. Ask the dealer to mark the required service intervals and explain which checks belong to the owner and which require a technician. This guide does not substitute a universal schedule for model-specific instructions.
Record the model, vehicle identification, battery details, purchase date and service contact in one place. A clear record makes it easier to order the correct parts and explain a concern later.
Make observations part of everyday use
Before a trip, follow the manual’s checks for tires, controls, brakes, restraints and lighting. Look for visible damage or a change from normal operation. Use specified tire pressures rather than a generic golf-cart value. If braking, steering or charging behaves abnormally, stop using the cart and arrange help instead of testing the problem repeatedly on a public road.
Keep charging equipment in the condition and location required by its instructions. Do not open the battery pack or improvise electrical repairs.
Keep a service history
Log dates, work completed and the person or business that performed it. Retain receipts and ask for written recommendations after an inspection. If the cart will be stored, obtain the exact battery and vehicle storage procedure before the period of inactivity begins.
